About

From the bench to the P&L to AI.

My parents spent their careers caring for people with diabetes. Their work led me to my PhD question: could stem cells help treat degenerative diseases?

At Stanford, I needed a way to check the quality of the stem cells I was making. The right tools didn't exist, so I built my own. That's when I fell for technology.

At Agilent, I developed cell analysis tools and learned to listen to the people who would use them. I ran more than 100 customer discovery interviews and evaluated young companies, three of which Agilent went on to acquire or invest in.

That pulled me to the commercial side. I grew Agilent's cell and gene therapy business 14% a year, and started a weekly market briefing that grew from 15 readers to more than 100 in its first month, executive leaders among them.

At BD Biosciences, I owned pricing and positioning for about $170M of flow cytometry portfolios. I built the evidence case that took the FACSDiscover A7 from an open question to a funded program, and helped launch the A8 in six regions at once.

Today, I bring that same standard to AI. Scientists don't buy on marketing; they buy on evidence, and AI has to meet that bar too. So I built RadarBio, a market intelligence tool where every claim carries a citation checked against its live source, so users get verified results they can trust.

Every step taught me the same lesson: good science needs a clear customer. Now I help founders and product teams find theirs.

A translator between the bench and the market.

Most advisors have stood in one room. I've worked in four, which is why I can see where the science meets the money.

  1. Research scientist
  2. Industry scientist
  3. Product leader
  4. Founder

What I believe

Lessons from the bench and the market

Check before you believe

Good decisions rest on evidence you can trace, not on how confident it sounds.

Listen together

Customer research works best when sales, applications and service teams are in the room too.

Decide early

Market evidence is most useful before the big bets, when you can still build, adjust or stop.

Beyond work

$100K to $115K

raised each year for our school, through the pandemic

A community that kept showing up.

From 2017 to 2022, I served the Home & School Club at Dilworth Elementary, first as Vice President and then as President from 2019 to 2022. With events canceled and families under strain, our community still raised $100K to $115K each year, so art, music and science programs kept running for our kids.

It taught me that people show up when they understand why it matters. I bring that lesson to every customer and every team.

What's in the name

Family, and the first note.

SAA comes from my family's initials. It's also Sa, the first note of the Indian classical scale, the note every melody begins from and returns to.

When I'm not working, you'll often find me with a cup of tea, turning leftovers into something new, or out running, hiking and traveling with my family.

Let's talk about your science.
